Go! Grants Support Chicago Public Schools sponsored by Life Fitness

today about half of schools in the country don't have physical education programs and they're over ten million in active youth today Chicago Public Schools gets less money than other school districts across the state we're an inner city school our resources are very limited at one point we didn't have a gymnasium but now we do with so many more resources we could provide the kids with many more opportunities between fit America kids in the game and go grand we think we've got a tremendous opportunity to influence and to change the game for so many kids in America hi I'm Julie no medal I am a 6th grader at Belmont Cragin Elementary in Chicago Illinois pop Sports has really helped us it really inspires me because I know somebody has my back like mr. Peters he told me how to plan out something for the gym day and I improve my fitness gram patient test laps last year I was a forty one and this year I'm proving to a fifty to which I was really proud of that the funding we provide is going to allow eleven schools as well as about 5,500 students to get access to fitness that they otherwise wouldn't have had what I like most about the half sports program is that a workshop our entire body thanks to my fitness they helped us with our equipment and now it's totally different than what it used to be used car ropes and our class which that is personally my favorite activity do we have medicine balls we have a ladder what you run through on stage it's really helpful to us because it's helping us stay active while we're in school today I was able to visit a sixth grade class at Belmont Cragin and give a Life Fitness Achievement Award to mr. Peters this is for you and for the school and thanks again thank you guys I want to thank Life Fitness they encouraged us to give us resources which we desperately need and I'll write a grant and get the money in Life Fitness has been right there for us and stepped up to the plate really helped us out you know mr. Peters is a role model I think you know he's been 30 years in the school district and unfortunately only five of those years has he had the funding needs for a fitness program you know I'm inspired by his example the other hand we've got to do a lot more to help them out for Jamy eirick to come and visit us and here's a Belmont Cragin story Julian's story that just blows me away and it's a pat on the back to me to keep going Peter thank you on Fitness by
