How important is carbohydrate for marathon running? Andrew Bosch


There have been numerous studies that have shown that in any long-distance events, such as the marathon. The more
carbohydrate – within reason, that one can ingest, the better from a performance
point of view. And so this goes to maintaining blood glucose concentrations,
and the actual use of that ingested carbohydrate as a fuel for the marathon,
one that’s taking place.
