and he joins me now you look good in that little oh it's a secret squirrel yeah I'm also enjoyed that day we went in and got you watching a lot Columbo lot a Columbo a lot of just one more thing I love you just one really no you knew you didn't knew didn't you any Anya he's on the massive floor to be hit huge yet we huge over there and nobody knows it here so it's yet one Tonys and david Hyde Pierce played the completion and so he played the lead role and so when it offered I was sort of I really wanted to do it because such a great show but I was nervous because yeah nobody knows but it's a brilliant play mister what makes it it's great fun it's a murder mystery like you said it's I played the tech see of a Boston detective who's trying to who loves amateur dramatics race so is in these elements to be in a theater there's a lockdown and and what's nice as an audience member you're also trying to guess who did who did the murder yes and then you mustn't tell anybody when you've been exactly do you have to do a Boston accent yes I'm currently watching a lot of Good Will Hunting yeah a lot of Mark Wahlberg films a lot of carpark its grateful and what set actually everything I've daughters been other than Chitti where I just did my own accident everything I've done has been an accident and it's a Nathan Detroit in engaging New York and Leo bloom in produces okay so I've always sort of I enjoy having a little mix around and and and this was fun I'm just hitting the gym trying to get in oh my goodness you've got to be in shape I guess noisy shorts cuz you have to you cannot just see what it feel very well well also be yeah and also you're on tour with these like 22 23 year old dancers yeah who could eat and drink what they want and after the show they're like you're covering them and I forget that I'm not 23 I'm like yeah I ever be saying yeah Guys and Dolls I am I put on about a stone in preparation for the role nobody asked me to I just did it you just did it for the artist yeah systematically the ten years leading up to it did that but no there is moments we just go you know when your answer too fat to fit in the Pringles tube you think right I need to sort myself out yeah exactly because is is a slog like China it could be great it sounds brilliant and you know what else I'm looking forward to Scarborough this new scene yes when is that coming out so Scarborough comes out so curtain starts in October so you start the tour in October and we go everywhere aha and at the same time I think I've not been given a debate yes garber start so Darren listen who wrote Benidorm as written this look a really lovely show yes I'm on with Steve Ed's who's played my best friend and he's actually my best friend here and cattles Lee of course remember from Gauri yeah that's Steve not yes and she was great and we and we sort of play a couple who were struggling a little bit you know you sort of hit 14 he's not thinking am i with the right person am i in the right town do i doing the right job but like it's all those things that there's some lovely show really lovely do you know what only dawn this year we showed that clip that you put and talking about your mental heal yes yes know what we got a massive reaction basically everybody just said thanks to you but no no no that was I was a thing to do that's a way they were braver is that I didn't feel like it was but I don't you mean I I guess for me I are you my previous show that I did on tour was a back I sort of talked about the brain and I thought about you know how things affect and I and I sort of ended the show with a little thing where I said you know just because you're struggling it doesn't mean you're failing and obviously what's up and I got so many emails from people afterwards especially fellows ooh because we don't talk about it blokes even now 2019 and yet the biggest killer of you know men under 50s is its suicide for under pressure so I it was amazing I got to five-a-side and you know or I'd be you know just in a cafe and and these blokes who it's a stereotype to look at them you wouldn't think they would be chatting about their feelings but they would come up to us and say thanks that video me you know and it was no it was a fantastic thing to do very honest just you're ready we never knew what you different know what somebody's going through and the other thing is and then that's really important Oh buddy ever says it which is your problems are the worst problems in the world too because you can only feel your own problem that's you could empathize with everybody I could yeah but you can only feel your only problems so and and we don't do that you know in modern life we always say well I know I feel bad but I do live in a wonderful country and you know I've got a decent job and so I shouldn't feel like this well it's okay to feel like it and it's really difficult sometimes of course we should count our blessings in all of that all the time she just can't it's off she can't see it you said mama one green she said well this kids in Africa and they're starving you're like it's true but it's not filled you opposite I it was yeah it was it was good to talk about and lots of people about some lovely messages so I hope it helps you know it definitely did it definitely helped that's for sure and you really know I kind of like you know she do your stand up yeah and then you do the you know the shores like we're going to see Scarborough and then this onstage thing is well although that's been I think that's you you just feel like it's a good fit anyway and and and the musicals my family were all singers no it was always a lot of singing in it growing up and and the parts I managed to get been grateful I was I was in I was in a show with Michael Ball imelda staunton Sweeney Todd that was the first show I did and Chitti was great you know got to work with children which was which was the first time I'd ever done okay it was the only odd part I found was having to go down to their level on on you on your haunches because you know your back goals your knees go and you're not allowed to use their ads to stand up you know like you can with your own kids but no curtains I think will be people need to take a chance on it and the other thing I think is people think naturally you think theatre musicals the too expensive the – you know the thirty-five forty quid a ticket but actually a lot of these places now you can if you get online you get and you get them early there's a lot of tagging yeah it'll be hard we're coming all over all over the place everybody said where'd you start we start at we do a little bit in Bromley okay and then our opening is in Manchester tastic Slough before here and we go all over the place then with Sheffield with Liverpool Cardiff where Scotland and yeah it's gonna be brilliant it sounds amazing good luck with it thank you very good luck with curtains but whoever goes don't tell anybody who done it yes no I don't know the rest of the script you need to find out because you need to know thank you as we said curtain see UK tour starts on 4th of October it's going to be absolutely you
