Kokum Juice | Garcinia Indica | Summer Drinks | Healthy Recipes


Hi! Today’s summer drink is Kokum Juice also known
as Garcinia Indica. The ingredients are:
1 cup dried kokum peels soaked in 1 and a half cup boiled hot water for 2 hours. Make sure you rinse the kokum well before
soaking it. You will also need – 3/4th cup raw cane sugar,
1 teaspoon black salt or kala namak, 1 teaspoon himalayan rock salt or sendha namak, 1 teaspoon
roasted cumin or jeera seeds and half a teaspoon black pepper. Now add all the ingredients into the blending
jar and churn till it is smooth. Ensure that you add the kokum along with the
water in which it has been soaked. Here i have the churned paste ready. Add it to a cooking pan and boil it on medium
flame for 6 to 7 minutes. Keep stirring in between. The paste is cool now. Make sure you store it in a glass jar and
not in any metal containers. To serve – Add 1 and a half tablespoons of kokum paste
into a glass of chilled water and stir well. This mixture is slightly on the tangy side. If you prefer it sweeter, you can add sugar. This kokum drink is a digestion-friendly cooler
and has fat-burning properties as well. Drink Healthy! Stay Healthy!
