Nutritional Benefits of Sprouts

hi guys in this video we're gonna talk about sprouts when you sprout a seed you get the release of most of the nutrition as compared to taking the seed and grinding into flour and then making bread and things like that you don't have very much nutrition but when you actually sprout the seed and consume it on your salad you get a lot of nutrition in fact vitamin A you get a release of an extra two hundred eighty-five percent more vitamin A b1 increased two hundred and eight percent b2 over 500% increase b3 over two hundred and fifty six percent increase not to mention more vitamin C essential fatty acids more enzyme release and a lot more mineral release potassium calcium because you're getting rid of something called phytic acid which locks up those minerals as well as getting rid of enzyme inhibitors to make those sprouts more digestible protein is increased by 30 percent more so when you're eating sprouts you're eating them at the peak level of nutrition broccoli sprouts for example have tremendous amounts of phytonutrients in fact broccoli sprouts contain 50 times more sulfur afine than adult broccoli so one of the bad things you might hear about buying sprouts is that you could get eat coli or Salmonella so if you just if you're concerned about that make your own it's very inexpensive I'll put a link down below of how to do it alright thanks for watching hi guys listen I want to thank you so much for your wonderful comments and I want to ask you if you wouldn't mind giving me your review on Google I put a link down below I'd really appreciate it and thank you in advance

  1. I ate bean sprouts raw and i got food poisoning like so fast :D… I think it's better to cook them really well to avoid getting sick…

  2. Hi sir I have a doubt?
Shall I eat only sprouts I stead of vegetables or otherwise I should eat vegetables compulsory in Keto

  3. What about if you have thyroid problems? Can you eat these sprouts, as they technically are cruciferous vegetables? That's all I see is that you are supposed to avoid these types of veggies unless you cook them, to bring down the harmful substances that disrupt the thyroid-goitrogens.

  4. I thought i could eat them raw but i just bought a bag and says to cook fully before eating. Do i have to cook them?

  5. I just bought one small pack of bean sprouts and on the packaging external it states vitamins like dietary fibre, sodium and proteins only. It never states all the other vitamins like K and iron. Wonder why?

  6. If I cook the sprout by steam, does the nutritional value of sprout drop drastically? Is it best to consume it raw?

  7. Doesn’t beans or legumes based sprouts still have carbs, are those allowed in Keto? Or does the sprouting process take the carbs away?

  8. ? I have a serious health issue(ms) & want to optimize my nutrient intake as best possible. If i replace all my adult greens by sprouts will it be better or will i be missing somethings, like fiber perhaps? NB: i have seen DrBerg's "What i would do if i had ms"

  9. I have been looking into sprouting, and found a little sprout grower(?) for a few bucks at the thrift store… will try it soon!

  10. Great no nonsense information. Lost 15lbs in two months and stopped progression of my diabetics. Fasting, int. Fasting, portion control, lots of veggeis, very little fruit, and of course no carbs.
Thanks to your knowledge based videos & encouragements!

  11. Great video again dr. Berg have you done a video talking about the difference between microgreens and sprouts?

  12. Dearest Dr. Bert, I'm trying to figure out how to enhance Keto and OMAD by replacing some of my required 7 cups of leafy greens per day, with home grown sprouts. Can you help me know how many ounces of sprouts and microgreens will replace how many ounces of leafy greens? I'm thinking that it won't be ounce for ounce, as the sprouts are so much more nutritionally dense.

  13. Thank you. You do deserve a nice review on Google. Nice things happen to nice people who simply "ask and you shall receive"

  14. Great post! Is it possible for you to let us know where we can get that kind of detailed information? These % are very interesting! Please i'd appreciate to know how to get these facts! Thank you!

  15. Dr Berg, someone recommended me to be careful with sprouts on a Ketogenic diet because of the high protein content. I have a sprouter and I love sprouts. Can I reduce meat in favour of sprouts. Would this even be a legit way to replace meat? What is your advice?

  16. There are any bacteria like e coli or other present in sprouts? Please tell about them if these are harmful for or body. And tell me about how to consume sprouts. Raw or boiled which is batter?

  17. Dr. Berg, I've been trying to find the answer to this: What would the equivalent be for eating sprouts and microgreens in terms of cups per day to match 7 cups of leafy greens?

  18. Hi Dr. Berg. Are bean sprouts allowed on keto? In india we call them Mung sprouts. They are quite low in carbs. Is it keto friendly?
